Album of the month - Leftfield Leftism

Posted by Jon Harker on

Released January 30th 1995, a seldom recognised but classic dub reggae sample ( Earl 16 - Trials and Crosses ), kick starts one the defining works of early 90's electronica.

Dance music had evolved post the 88/91 initial explosion, splitting for better or worse, ( but lets face it, mostly worse ) into a myriad of new styles and scenes.

This release is credited as the cog in the wheel that kept the (in)famous British dance scene of the 90s very much alive indeed. There's a lot more than just a rave going on here and the expert production still holds strong.
