This has come from a good customer of ours and has brand new EL34 Power Valves installed by our engineer.
The original Unison Research S6, introduced in 2001, is a pure Class A, single-ended integrated valve amplifier praised for its "sweetness, warmth, rhythmic alacrity and a deliciously clean, open sound". It was designed with a minimal number of components in the audio signal path for sonic purity.

- Type: Stereo integrated valve amplifier, operating in pure Class A.
- Output Stage: Single-ended parallel, ultra-linear configuration.
- Output Power: Approximately 35 watts per channel into a 6-ohm load.
- Valve Complement: 6 x EL34 power tubes (three per channel) and 2 x ECC82 (or 12AU7) preamp tubes.
- Bias System: The original S6 model featured an auto-bias system with a user-adjustable meter on the top plate, making maintenance and tube rolling relatively easy.
- Inputs: Five line-level RCA inputs.
- Outputs: One set of tape outputs and high-quality speaker binding posts with options for 4 and 8-ohm impedance matching.
- Dimensions: A hefty unit at 35cm (W) x 21cm (H) x 49cm (D) and weighing 25kg (55 lbs). This weight is primarily due to the large power and output transformers, which are crucial for the sound quality.
