ArNi® Wire Technology
ArNi® is a specialized wire developed by Shunyata Research to deliver the highest level of audio performance. It starts with the purest copper available—either OFE C10100 or Ohno (single crystal)—and is formed into virtual hollow tubes that eliminate skin effects and eddy current distortions. The wire then undergoes Shunyata's proprietary KPIP™ (Kinetic Phase Inversion Process) treatment to further enhance sonic performance.
VTX-Ag Conductors
Shunyata’s VTX-Ag conductors are the result of 25 years of continuous design evolution, grounded in credible science and measurable results. These conductors feature a hollow outer tube geometry made from the purest copper to preserve tonal accuracy and the natural timbre of instruments and voice. This copper outer layer surrounds an inner core made from the purest silver (Ag), which significantly improves macro-dynamics and imparts exceptional three-dimensional weight and timing, particularly in lower frequencies.
STIS™ v3 Interchangeable Terminals
STIS™ v3 represents the most advanced interchangeable terminal system available, offering exceptional performance and user convenience. The banana and spade terminals are precision-machined from solid tellurian copper for superior conductivity and are plated with pure gold to ensure long-term durability and signal integrity. STIS™ v3 delivers the performance of fixed connectors while providing unmatched flexibility, allowing users to switch connectors easily based on system needs.
OFE Alloy 101 Copper
Shunyata Research uses only the highest-purity copper in its wire products. OFE Alloy 101 (C10100) is the highest available grade, with a minimum purity of 99.99% and a conductivity rating of 101% IACS. OFE stands for Oxygen-Free Electrolytic and is a superior standard to OFHC (Oxygen-Free High Conductivity). C10100 is the only copper grade that comes with a written certification of purity.

Fluorocarbon Dielectrics
Typically found only in aerospace, satellite, and the most premium audiophile applications, fluorocarbon dielectrics offer unique electrical properties—extremely low dielectric absorption, high dielectric strength, and outstanding heat resistance. When used in audio and power cables, they reduce dynamic compression and significantly enhance low-level resolution and sonic clarity.

Sonic Welding Technology
Conventional connection methods such as crimping, soldering, brazing, and screws are prone to degradation over time. Shunyata Research instead uses sonic welding—employing high-energy sound waves to fuse metals at the molecular level—and cold welding, which uses intense pneumatic pressure for a secure bond. These methods ensure long-lasting, high-integrity connections.
KPIP™ Processing
Shunyata’s proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process (KPIP™) involves four days of continuous signal conditioning. This advanced process significantly shortens burn-in time and greatly enhances overall sonic performance, delivering a more natural, relaxed, and lifelike listening experience.
