Advanced JFET Topology

At the core of the Progression Neo Preamplifier is an
advanced input stage utilizing our advanced JFET (Junction
Field-Effect Transistor) topology, which saw its introduction
in the flagship Momentum C2 Preamplifier. Now integrated
into the Progression Neo line, it offers a level of performance
previously reserved for our top-tier components.
The implementation of the JFET input stage represents
a significant leap forward for the Progression Neo series.
Utilizing these specialized transistors at the very beginning
of the circuit, where the delicate musical signal is most
vulnerable, achieves an exceptionally low noise floor and a
smooth, linear transfer characteristic. This design philosophy
ensures that micro-level musical details are captured and
passed forward without the masking or coloration. The result
is a soundstage that is both vast and intimate, offering a
natural load handling that mirrors the effortless musicality of
live performance.

Enhanced Power Transformer

The Progression Neo Preamplifier represents a pinnacle
of signal purity and structural integrity, anchored by a

immunity from AC anomalies and external electrical
interference. At its heart lies an oversized, custom-designed
analog transformer, which is meticulously potted for isolation
and strategically positioned to guarantee the lowest possible
noise floor and minimal interference. This enhanced power
foundation allows for a significant 66% increase in operating
rail voltage compared to previous designs, providing the
headroom necessary for the greatest dynamic swings and
most impactful musical transients.

Digital Streaming Module (DSM)

The Progression Neo Preamplifier offers an optional Digital
Streaming Module (DSM) that expands connectivity, including
optical and both RJ45 and Wi-Fi network connections
supporting 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet to ensure latency-
free playback of high-resolution network content. Notably, it
is the first D’Agostino preamplifier to include an HDMI input
with eARC and CEC functionality, simplifying integration into
home entertainment systems.
The digital experience is further refined through tailored
iOS apps for effortless management of music collections
and native integration with subscription services Tidal and
Qobuz. Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, and Spotify Connect
are also supported. Handling today’s most demanding high-
resolution sources, the DSM natively decodes PCM signals
up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD signals up to DSD256 (11.2
MHz). While many manufacturers downplay the importance
of the analog section in digital conversion, the Progression
Neo treats it with paramount importance; internal balanced
connections carry the final analog signal directly to the
JFET input circuitry, allowing the digital stream to take full
advantage of the preamplifier’s massive power reserves and
superior analog output stages.

Ergonomic Remote Control

The bi-directional remote control offers intuitive command
over all unit functions and settings. Featuring an ergonomic
design and an integrated LCD screen, the remote provides a
seamless experience by mirroring information directly from
the preamplifier’s front panel display. For added convenience,
a dedicated application allows for comprehensive control via
Bluetooth from any equipped phone or tablet.
