Oxford Contemporary Music with OXFORD AUDIO - Listening Party at Common Ground Cafe
We love discovering new music, and the best way to discover is to share.
OXFORD AUDIO in conjunction with Oxford Contempory Music are pleased to present The Listening Party at the Common Ground Café & Workspace - a social enterprise in an Oxford University building in Little Clarendon Street, Oxford.
What is it?
The Listening Party is an opportunity to share the music you’re passionate about. You’ll hear it on a great sound system, discover something new, and meet other music enthusiasts. For each event we’ll ask you to come along with a track you want to share - old or new, from near or far.
How does it work?
Like an open mic, you just let us know when you arrive if you’ve brought something to share. We’ll have a superb turntable, CD player, streamer, amplifier & laptop with minijack input. So you can bring a track on Vinyl, CD, or even on your phone. It's all free but spaces filled up fast last time so it's worth registering your place.
We’ll have 2 sessions of music, and ask you to attentively enjoy every offering as you would at a live gig. We’ll limit tracks to 4 minutes each so that we can fit in lots of contributions. If you’d like to briefly introduce your music, we’d like to hear what you love about it.
We look forward to seeing you!
