A balanced preamplifier circuit delivers extraordinary imaging. Direct coupled circuitry eliminates impact-robbing capacitors from the signal path. Krell Current Mode ™ circuits provide the speed and detail otherwise associated with more expensive separate components. Preamplifier circuits are powered by a dedicated supply with discrete voltage regulators.
Utilizing two gain stages per channel, the balanced amplifier circuit develops 200 into 8 Ohms and 400 Watts into 4 Ohms for continuous control of any loudspeaker. A massive 800 VA toroidal transformer and 55,000 microfarads of capacitance guarantee huge power reserves.
Both balanced and single-ended inputs are provided, and robust WBT binding posts provide superior loudspeaker cable termination.
A stylish, discreetly sized, remote control offers convenient, full function capability.The Theater Throughput™ mode, developed by Krell, simplifies integration into home theater systems.
